CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

 Where to start…

Well, the career of bachelor’s degree in plastic arts has the duration of five years, counting the last year as process of memory (thesis)

In the career i could be in subjects like drawing, central workshop, seminars (the only write part of this artistic career), complementary workshops, etc. The career has 8 specializations (that can be taken in the second year), we can name painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, goldsmith, textile and experimental. From what I know, but I’m not sure in 100%, the specializations no longer exist since this year. Lamentable, because I put myself in that place and I wouldn’t like go rotating of specializations obligatorily and also my title would “Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Arts with mention in…” but the mention no longer exists.

For me, the first year is so boring. The first year it’s like an introduction of what will be seen in the coming years, so, the education method it’s so methodical and with a very limited creative space.

Within the next years one is already beginning to unfold in the area what one wants. In my case, I was one semester in sculpture and the rest in textile.

I had subjects what I did feel like a waste, only waste time. I did feel that I had teachers so hostile and little empathic, but nevertheless can I have some teachers dedicated and motivated.

There’s nothing Good in this faculty regarding infrastructure. The infrastructure is so old and it’s in bad shape, the space is reduced and needed urgently this university invest in the arts college, in general.

The bad too is that our bad infrastructure it goes hand in hand with the little technology what’s in it. Not counting the super computers apple Brand and the library (that the year 2018 was flooded, being totally new). The implements what we have to use are few and some of them in bad shape.

In terms of teaching, I could say I am according, I would only like to be taught much better for how to write in the written works, especially in the day when the times comes to write the memory, because just thinking about it gives me terror. I like the method of teaching, always keeping in the mind the society and how do we relate with that in artistic terms (although art is still only for the academy, according to me)
